Cleaning Tools & Materials Needed:
1. Pressure Washer with hose, wand, and nozzle
2. Cleaning materials
3. Clean rags
4. Truck and wheel brush
5. Rubber gloves and goggles

Procedures:

Many tractor trailers have expensive traveling billboards (advertising) painted on the sides and back of the trailers. Since it pays to advertise, they need to be kept clean at all times.

CLEANING PROCEDURES:
1. Put on gloves and goggles.
2. Pour cleaning solution concentrate into detergent compartment.
3. Spray the wheels and wheel wells with pressure washer cleaner.
4. Allow the cleaning solution to work for two or three minutes before rinsing.
5. If heavily soiled, agitate with wheel brush.
6. Rinse thoroughly.
7. When washing the tractor trailer, set metering barb to a 1:40 dilution or desired cleaning mixture.
8. Select a 15 degree nozzle for cleaning painted trailers.
9. When washing the surface to be cleaned, hold the pressure washer wand 12 to 36 inches from the surface being washed.
10. Apply the cleaning chemical from the bottom up to about six feet and let set for one minute.
11. After the cleaning solution has loosened the dirt and grease, switch the pressure washer over to the rinse cycle and start rinsing from the bottom up to about six feet.
12. Rinse again, starting at the top of the washed surface, down.
13. On extremely dirty units, brush agitation might be necessary.
14. After the bottom half of the trailer has been cleaned and rinsed, use a moveable ladder to stand on and finish washing the top half of the trailer, following the procedures eight through eleven.
15. Check thoroughly for dirt and rust around the back door hinges. Lubricate with Lube All when necessary.
CONCLUSION:
It pays to keep tractors and tractor trailers clean. It pays to advertise, and what a better way of advertising than CLEAN tractor and tractor trailers.
