6. Empty all waste baskets.
7. Apply a water rinsable degreaser to the hoist and let set.
8. Fill the automatic scrubber with water and add cleaning solution according to the directions and the condition of the floor.
9. Pre-spray all grease and oil spilled areas with a water rinsable degreaser.
10. Start scrubbing next to the walls or benches with the scrub brushes down and the vacuum motor turned on.
11. After the service department has been thoroughly scrubbed, hand mop any area that was missed by the automatic scrubber.
12. Hose down the hoists and use a squeegee to remove the standing water.
13. Drain the scrubber, wipe down all equipment and store.
CONCLUSION:
Daily scrubbing of the service area will give the floors the”clean, just scrubbed look.”
If floors are sealed and the above cleaning procedure is followed, a cleaner with a pH of 11 may be used to scrub the floor on a daily basis. A floor not sealed will require a product with a higher pH and a heavier concentration of cleaner to water will be needed.
