We just bought a new house, and our living room carpet is a very light beige color... it shows stains a little too well. This spotter has been a live saver (carpet-saver). Our carpet still looks brand new, even though I have already had to use the spotter to take out about a dozen spots. This is a must-have for people with lighter carpets (like mine) that easily stain, and a should-have for everybody else :)
